MUSC Health – Columbia Medical Center Downtown is seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our growing Infectious Disease team. This is an exciting opportunity to practice in a collaborative environment focused on delivering exceptional care for patients with complex infectious diseases and conditions.

In this role, you will work closely with Infectious Disease physicians, hospital teams, and multidisciplinary specialists to provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care while contributing to improved patient outcomes and community health.

Required Qualifications:

  • Advanced Practice Provider: Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
  • Infectious Disease experience preferred, but motivated new graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Passion for delivering patient-centered care in a collaborative team environment
  • Commitment to evidence-based medicine, infection prevention, and quality improvement

Position Highlights:

  • Provide inpatient and outpatient Infectious Disease follow-up care
  • Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic infectious conditions including sepsis, bacteremia, osteomyelitis, hepatitis, and complex infections
  • Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, nursing staff, and care management teams to develop individualized treatment plans
  • Assist with antimicrobial stewardship initiatives and infection prevention strategies
  • Participate in patient education, transitions of care, and coordination with referring providers
  • Utilize Epic EHR and integrated clinical tools to support efficient, high-quality patient care
