FACULTY POSITION IN CLINICAL HEALTH PSYCHLOGY - M60198

The Department of Psychiatry at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center invites applications for a qualified health psychologist to provide clinical services, teaching, and research to our Transplant and Weight loss surgery programs, as well as other areas of collaborative care.  These programs also serve as the training venue for an APA accredited post-doctoral fellowship in clinical health psychology and responsibilities include clinical supervision of advanced psychology trainees.  Expertise in various modes of intervention or treatment, including cognitive behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy, facilitation of shared medical appointments, smoking cessation, pain management and so on are necessary skills for this position. Candidates must have completed an APA-accredited Ph.D. or Psy.D. program, be eligible for licensure as a clinical psychologist in Virginia and have ABPP Board Certification in Clinical Health Psychology or be eligible to apply for certification. History of external funding and multidisciplinary collaborations highly desirable. Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
