Fairfax Hospital in the Seattle, WA area is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our specialized team in the treatment of Behavioral Health patients. Fairfax offers Acute inpatient treatment services for both males and females ages 4-Geriatric with diverse Psychiatric treatment issues. The focus of the new NP will be on admission physicals and daily consult care with follow-ups for patients in behavioral health inpatient treatment. 

 

This is NOT a position focused on Psychiatric issues but Medical issues of Psychiatric patients.

 

 The position is in our Kirkland, WA location.  The caseload averages 14-15 patients contacts per day. A schedule of 40 hours a week (full-time) or 7 days on and 7 days off (full-time) will be offered.
 

 

The NP position with Fairfax offers opportunity for professional and personal growth working with colleague physicians and clinical staff in a structured multidisciplinary hospital based behavioral health treatment setting.  The ideal candidate will have experience with Mental Health.

 

 Job Requirements

  • Completed an NP-focused graduate masters or doctoral Nursing program from recognized school of nursing.
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner/APRN in the State of Washington or willingness to obtain licensure in the State of WA.
  • Board Certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
  • Current National DEA Certificate.

Fairfax Behavioral Health is a private behavioral health hospital with three locations, Kirkland, Everett and Monroe, WA, offering acute inpatient and partial hospital services for children, adolescents, adults and older adults with psychiatric and dual diagnoses treatment issues.

The Fairfax main hospital in Kirkland is a 157-bed, standalone psychiatric facility, composed of six units providing specialized treatment for mental health and co-occurring disorders (concurrent mental illness and substance abuse issues), as well as detoxification services for both adolescents and adults. Fairfax also operates a 30-bed adult general psychiatric unit, located in Everett, WA on the seventh floor of the Providence Medical Centers Pacific campus. As well as, a 34-bed unit on the campus of Evergreen Health Monroe; Fairfax cares for both voluntarily admitted and involuntarily committed patients at all locations.    Programs at Fairfax are provided in highly structured multidisciplinary treatment settings staffed by trained clinical and administrative support staff.  The successful hospital is easily accessible just off I-405, located just northwest of Seattle and north of Bellevue and in a quiet residential neighborhood. The hospital system enjoys the largest market share in the state of WA for inpatient behavioral health services.

Salary:
