VA Northern California Health Care System (VANCHCS) is an integrated health care delivery system, offering a comprehensive array of medical, surgical, rehabilitative, mental health and extended care to Veterans in Northern California.
We are seeking a Diagnostic Radiologist with fellowship training in Nuclear Medicine to join our multi-modality practice at the Sacramento VA Medical Center. The successful candidate will join an academic practice and dedicate approximately 50% of time to Diagnostic Radiology and 50% to Nuclear Medicine. The ideal candidate will have expertise and experience in the performance and interpretation in all modalities of Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine. There will be didactic in the field of Nuclear Medicine requiring direct supervision of a Nuclear Medicine Resident. VANCHCS is initiating a Nuclear Medicine Radiology Residency beginning July 2023 with our affiliate, the University of California at Davis.
Candidates must: 1) be a US citizen or PRA (Non-citizens may be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with [38 U.S.C. 7407(a)]; 2) possess a current, full, unrestricted medical license in any state, and 3) board eligible/certified in Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, and 4) and confirm vaccination for seasonal influenza and Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), which are both requirements for all Health Care Personnel (HCP) employed by Department of Veterans Affairs. Preferred experience: Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine
