Physician - Genetics

We invite applications for a specialist in Geneticist at our Tysons Corner Medical Center. This is a full-time shareholder-track position providing care across all here of our regions.

Eligible for $100,000 forgivable loan OR $150,000.00 in student loan repayment as a new hire incentive!

In collaboration with the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Mid-Atlantic States, we provide high-quality, patient-centered health care. MAPMG physicians are salaried, without the pressures of alternative payment models or fee-for-services.  Our members have easy access to specialists and medical records, thus allowing you to treat the whole patient.  

What You Can Expect:

• Provide care across all three regions: Washington, DC, Suburban Maryland, Northern Virginia, and Baltimore
• Provide care, genetic evaluation, and counseling for patients with lysosomal storage disorders, increasing care provided within the system
• Provide care for patients from newborn throughout the lifespan
• Provide newborn screening follow-up and care coordination
• Provide support to the genetic counselors who provide the majority of prenatal and cancer genetic counseling
• Work mostly remote, with 1 or 2 days on-site

Minimum Requirements:

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Eligible in Medical Geneticist
• Board Certified or Eligible in Clinical Biochemical Genetics or Medical Biochemical Genetics preferred
• Experience with newborn screening and management of lysosomal storage disorders, preferred
• Currently licensed or able to obtain licenses in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia
